6.5 Swedish Tracer?

Friend has some ammo he picked up recently.


We thought it was tracer but now not sure.


It is red tipped 6.5 swede ammo. It is not the round nose ammo, but more spire point.


Any ideas on what he has? Web is not showing me a match.

Sounds like it. I picked a few up at a show recently and they’re just as you described.

Red tip is wooden or plastic. Tracer is white.

Used with a device for the barrel that turns it to dust.

If it's wood bullets with red tip they are practice rounds that get shot through a screw ondevice that shreds them.

Assuming a red tip tracer, they were used in the Carl Gustaf sub caliber device. Loaded to a low pressure to simulate the trajectory of the 84mm round. See 070 http://www.cartridgecollector.net/65-x-55-se
