6.5 wsm anybody?

That's just too funny.
I love how somebody asks for info on something and then proceeds to get learned on all the negative possibilities that might be associated with it. Not to mention the obvious facts as well

You can't fix stupid, but you can dress it up and call it LTBull01

Bha ha haa! so fny! :slap:

What's the point of having a rifle that will predictably burn barrels out unless you're a competition shooter or don't mind spending the money? Maybe one doesn't care about that and will want to preplace a rifle or barrel with some frequency. It ain't a possibility... it's a reality with a calibre like that. And anyone who wants that kind of calibre should know that up front instead of getting surprised by the inevitable.

Yup, can't fix stupid and you must look at it in the mirror eveyday.

No one is "surprised by the inevitable". We all know the 6.5 Short and fat is overbore, no one really cares though, that's the joy of being a gun nut :) . If you like cartridges that are easier on barrels then so be it. But why come into a thread about a particular over bore cartridge and tell us something we already know?

No more overbore than the .22-250. Ask the 100's of thousands of hunters why they buy one for varmint shooting, and if they give a #### about barrels.
