6.5 x 50 jap and 6.5 x 51 - what is the difference?

A buddy got me some brass for my 6.5 jap. The bag has both markings on it. Why? Is there any difference or is it the same round?

Same stuff. Some guys just round it off to the next mm.

Nice little semi-rimmed case, much more accurate than usually realised.

Make it from .220 Swift easily.

Like smellie says, same brass. European produced brass usually has the 6.5x51 headstamp.
