6.5 x 55 different POI .... Why?

I am loading for my swede and using 140 spitzers and 140 Nosler partitions. Same primer, same powder and load,. Why would the noslers shoot 4 inches higher than the spitzers? I can see them being off a little but 4 inches high seems a little excessive. Smokey

Because the 2 bullets have different bearing surface as well as different core and jacket "hardness".

The Nosler is probably developing higher chamber pressures and velocity. Run the two loads over a chronograph and you will probably see the Nosler is 100 fps or more faster than the other bullet.

I agree, and the distance from the rifling might be different. That changes pressure.

That said, I am surprised at the 4".
