I bought some 6.5 x 55 SE for my Swedish m96 and CG63. I thought it was regular 6.5 x 55. Now I read that the SE is loaded hotter and unsafe in the older Swedish mausers.
Not sure if I should use it.
I'm collecting brass for reloading but haven't started yet.

I'm not sure about the 6.5x55 SE, but I have seen reload data from Lapua for 6.5x55 SKAN, along with a caution to unly use that data in modern Sako rifles.

What's the maufacturer of the ammo you have?
