I'm had an issue with some once reloaded winchester brass.
The bolt needed to be forced to close and didn't feel right.
I decided not to fire, just cycled all 5 and we're all the same.
The primers looked like they had been rubbing the firing pin, scary stuff.

I didn't trim the case on any of them, im guessing this is my issue?

The primer seems to be seated properly.

Cheers

If the cases were NOT fired from your rifle, you need to full length resize them. Neck sizing is only for cases fired from the same rifle. Every rifle has a slightly different size chamber.

Maybe you should look at how you set up your die, Not saying you did it wrong but maybe something there? Your OAL's look good as posted! If your going to pull the bullets, first try as seat your bullets in abit, if it chambers we have found your problem, ( short chamber) if not we can try something different.

Try trimming your brass if things still don't work out. As you said that the brass have been fired from your rifle. Did you have any issues with the factory rounds?

I'm using a lee Loader classic (whack em)

The only thing I can think of, is maybe I drove the casing to far down when I was sizing them.
I will try to seat the bullet a little lower and see if that helps.

It will be a little bit before I can figure this out, all out of brass and no bullet puller.

I will let you know when I get a puller.

Thanks again for all the help.

Cheers

M96 have pretty long throats to accomodate the 156 grain round nose bullets of the Skarpa Patroner.
My opinion is not enough brass sizing.
Regarding the primer marks, check if you can see the firing pin protruding through the bolt face but it shouldn't show up when the bolt is cocked or open.

I had similar issue with 308 rounds when i first started reloading
I wasn't bumping the shoulder back far enough, I didnt have my
Die set correctly a fellow shooter once said
Some brass is so finicky more than others

By the way, doesn't a lee loader only neck size???
I didnt think they full resized? Maybe I'm wrong
I have a friend who just to me he has one for 243
Same issue as its only neck sizing not full resize

Lee Loader only Necks the brass.

Well, I finally got to the bottom of this.
It was the primers, some were sitting very slightly proud.
Some of 8/19 I reloaded were sitting properly. I took them to the range today, they chambered fine and went bang, no problem.

I've seated plenty of 303, with a vintage lee loader, but this the first run with a NEW 6.5 x 55 swede loader set.

Thanks for all the input.

Cheers
