Hi all I am starting to get back into the reloading thing and i have a question i hope can be answered i happen to have two full boxes of .25 caliber bullets and i was wondering if anyone has loaded this size into the 6.5??? i miked the bullet at 6.5 and i miked the 6.5 bullets i have at 6.7 ??? anybody know if this is plausible or should i get rid of it as i do not have a 25 caliber rifle yet... just got the bullets in a lot from a friend which i think he either did or considered doing, he is not close by to ask though?????
thanks
-Steve

Find someone to sell them to. The 25 caliber bullets will measure 0.257", while the 6.5 needs 0.264". They will fall into the case when you try to seat the bullets.

Thanks guys its not a big deal not to use them as i said they were free anyways, my little buddy from work shoots a 25 06 maybe they will work for him???

The 25 cal should work in a 25-06. Trade him the bullets for a micrometer that is more accurate! You can get one that reads to the 1/10th of a thou from Princess Auto for about $20.

and as i said the 25 caliber actually mics out at 6.5 mm and the 6.5mm bullets actually mic out at around 6.7mm that was more my question as the 25 caliber seemed to me to be closer to 6.5 than the actual 6.5 i have thats all
