So I was looking for a good long range bullet for my .260rem and was thinking about the berger vld 130gr then I read that the 140gr hybrid could be a bit easier to tune and a bit better ballistic at the cost of case capacity (slower muzzle velocity) I just came across an article about berger new 130gr hybrid bullet wich would be just what I would be looking for. Anybody got something on that? suppliers in canada? performance?

thanks
Simon

I put a 140 gr berger in the side of a moose one year with a bullet that was supposed to be a hunting bullet, and the en=trance would was just ghhastly.
and ever since then I have chosen not to hunt with Berger bullets.. FS

Looks like it has good ballistics. I went for the 129 grain accubond long range with a BC of 0.571 which is similar but the accubond is a much tougher bullet. I use this in my 6.5x55

I don't recall the OP saying anything about hunting.

I use the 140 Berger VLD in a .260 AI and it was relatively easy to develop a load for.
One of my shooting buddies uses the 130 VLD in his .260 Rem and it shot everything well.

As far as the new 130 Hybrid, I don't know of anyone in Canada that has them yet but I would be interested as well in getting some.
