is it worth getting into?
Also I heard the margins of error are a lot smaller than, say, 44 magnum.
Depends on how much you shoot or are planning on shooting?
You go to the range once a month and shoot 10 rounds = NOPE not worth it. You can get bulk fairly cheap factory ammo that is match quality that will shoot under 1 moa. Have at er. Keep the spent brass and resell to recoup some costs. Buy more factory ammo.
You go to the range weekly and shoot 50 + rounds every trip, you better get a press and dies, brass, primers, bullets and powder pronto and start saving per shot, so you can shoot weekly!
Don't get into reloading if you think you will save $$. You only save per round shot = you shoot triple or more rounds then before! No savings in the end, but a HECK of a lot of fun!
Lots of u tube videos of things to get, not get, to look out for! Start watching some. Depending on your location you can get "complete" kits from old timers getting out of it for decent savings. Still might want to add to them, depending on what they are?
If there are any shooting groups local, get into them. Usually great guys/gals, and more than willing to help out a newb.
Be realistic of where you want this to go! If you think you will REALLY get into it, I suggest you start off with better equipment, so you don't have to replace with better quality as you go and learn. That said, we all still do this! Do lots of reading up front, and it will save you growing pains as you go.
