These likely are too long to work in anything but the Swedish mausers with the 1-7 1/4twist.I have a Win 70 FWT with 1-8 ROT that shoots 156gr Sakos into the same hole but patterns 160gr Hornadys.

For quite light loads I have had success with the 266305 gas checked with red dot powder. Some years ago Leo at Boomers molds in Regina built me a plain based version of a 266469. I miss the gun shows as there seemed to be old molds that are hard to find otherwise and one could get them quite reasonable.

Personally I've stopped guessing what a gun will do with a particular bullet and just try it. I've seen fast twists stabilize light bullets that people will Tell you it's impossible to shoot, and same thing going the other way. The variables are actually so numerous experimental results in the real world are the only truely reliable way to know.

With cast, the largest diameter bullet you can chamber will usually be the most accurate.
