With my limited cranial capacity and caveman like understanding, any help with the following would be appreciated:

– .300 Blackout is a .30 cal bullet in a .223/5.56 case

– is there a cartridge (wildcat or otherwise) with a .260 rem bullet used in a .223/5.56 case? Is that a 6.5mm TCU or is the TCU round something different?

I have a contender in 6.5 tcu. if you need a formed case for research purposes, let me know.

I assume you're talking about a Thompson G2? What are your thoughts on the round? I've been having a torrid love affair with the .260 Rem, and am interested in knowing the characteristics of the bullet in a .223 case... I may need a mistress.

Not a G2, an barrel for an original contender pistol. I picked the barrel up years ago at Epps. Found some inexpensive dies at lock, stock and barrel in the US. Thing is, I haven't really played a whole bunch with it over the years. So I may not be any kind of authority on it. I always thought I might play with a rifle in the same chambering one day. There is likely someone else here that can give you more info than I can.

Thanks Joe.
