6.5X47 Lapua... A record falls

I think this year for our matches, if someone shoots a 75-15V that they keep shooting until they drop a V like they do in the US. Would be interesting to see how many V's you can peg in a row if your on your game.

Maybe we can set unofficial club/national records.

Dunno... my stock of new "VLD's" isn't going to make that a likely scenario.... I'm thinking of switching to .177 air rifle. Seems to shoot better in the wind.

Considering how itty bitty it is, that should be a WORLD record

For BENCHREST :)

As long as all matches run with the same target, we most certainly should have records. Adds some fun to the mix.

As for the Berger 'VLD's, I do have some of the better Orange Kool Aid if interested.

Let me know...

X is 36.1 mm (1.42")
10 is 72.4 mm (2.85")
MR-63C F Class target

Based on looking at the patches on that target I find it hard to fathom that it was indeed the F-Class 1.42" X-ring.

On our 35mm ICFRA V-Bull, 2 patches side by side will cover almost the entire width of the V line to line.

Not trying to take anything away from Erik's shooting....600 with any X count under match conditions is a feat in itself.

Here is 15 shots under match conditions on the 35mm V-Bull

This was a new Center when the string began. (Sorry about the dust....LOL.....it's been in the garage for awhile)

Last 3 shots after putting on a new center to patch the big holes:

LOL.....looks like it WAS the new F-Class target...

Jamie, you won’t be disappointed!

Thanks Ian!

Richard, it was on the MR-63C F Class target.
X ring . . . . . . . . . . 1.42″
10 ring . . . . . . . . . . 2.85″

I guess they used a 6.5mm sticker to mark where his shots landed as that is probably not the actual target he shot on but a re-creation of the groups on a new face.

THat would be an easy one to try and moniter. Set up as a skins game.... loonie a case and wrung what you brung... hate to lose those pots due to optimistic 47 rounds for the day and still matching fives down the line
