Hello,

I am looking for an inexpensive source for 6.5X52 Carcano brass either new or once fired. I live in Alberta but am willing to order in from other provinces if needed. If you have some (Looking for about 50 tops for now), please feel free to PM me.

Cheers,
Drach

we are all looking for a cheap or inexpensive source, and to top that off, we are all looking for that source to actually have some in stock........
until then we just call every Tuesday morning for a update............

try calling henry at budget reloading Wednesday night............

Give Anthony at Trade-Ex a phone call. They have a toll free number. Or click on the Sponsor's link above ---T E C Trade-Ex Canada-----and send him an inquiry.

Trade-Ex has 6.5x52 Carcano brass listed at $80 per 100 and bullets at $40 per hundred. Cabelas lists the very common 30-06 or .308 brass at $54 per hundred and bullets about the same price.

The initial cost of the brass is a bit more, but 100 cases can last a Loooooooong time.

Give DOUG a call at 306-689-2654 RAYN'ER SHINE GUNWORKS Lancer sask. in business about 25 years. all kinds of odd ball brass and dies.
just got a set of 6.5x58 Portuguese mauser dies from them.........
I think LASTMOUNTAIN also in Sask. has loaded ammo .

There's no such thing as inexpensive when it comes to odd or unusual stuff.

21,241 posts and still going strong!! Way to go Wrong way. Oh ,and check your head-space,and check your head-space and check-your head-space.
Sorry just being sarcastic. Tradex is the way to go. Good Privi brass and a reasonable price on projectiles.

You can also make it up from 6.5x54 Mannlicher-Schoenauer brass: FL size and trim only. Should give you a thicker rim.

Quite agree: Partizan Carcano brass rims are much thinner than MilSpec. Other than that, works just fine.

If you have a lathe and want something to play with, you can also make it up from 6.5 Jap: turn the rim, recut the extractor groove and fireform.

Another way to do it, again with a lathe, is start with 220 Swift brass, trim rim, recut extractor groove, expand neck, FL size, trim. DROP your charges about 15% to start: Swift brass is designed for very high pressures; internal volume is much smaller than you would think, raises pressure levels.
