6.5x55 ammo, what did we find?

So yesterday we were out and about and found a box (65 shells) of Danish manufacture 6.5x55

The box is marked "6,55mm skarppatroner M/46-ru". The maunfacturer as far as I can tell is Forsvarets Krigsmaterielforvaltning.

Now for the troubling part; some discussion ive found on a different forum indicates these shells may be dangerous (causing catastrophic rifle malfunctions). Does anyone have any experience with this stuff?

I had read the same thing before on gunboards. Sounds like its collector ammo only.

I recall reports that the jacket material was soft and would foul the barrel badly, causing Kabooms.

If the box is original and in decent shape, it could make for a good display piece in a cabinet.
