looking back on old notes, we found that 42.0 grns of BLC2 would give about the best performance with 120 grn bullets. This load is probably maximum for the 96/38 swede receivers, and I would suggest strongly to reduce the load to at least 39.0 grns before proceeding with the heavier load. BLC2, although a very stable powder, stacks up the pressures extremely fast at the high end. We never found the lighter bullets 97-110 grain bullets to be very consistant accuracy wise in the old swedes, that long throat isn't exactly conducive to accuracy, so we stayed with 120 grn and over. I like BLC2 in other cartridges as well, such as 303Brit and 7x57, even 7.62x39 and 7.62x54Russ. Not a bad choice of powder, suitable for a good spread of smaller and intemediate cartridges. bearhunter
