6.5x55 no pressure signs, now what?**Now with velocity**

Ok, went to the range today and tried out my new Chrony. I had reloaded the exact same loads that I did the first time. These are my numbers.

Hornady 140 SST with H4831SC

44gr @ 2407fps
45gr @ 2404fps
46gr @ 2496fps
47gr @ 2510fps
48gr @ 2630fps

Hornady 140 SST with RL22

46gr @ 2574fps
47gr @ 2645fps
48gr @ Error 2 (oops)
49gr @ 2778fps
50gr @ 2827fps

Barnes 130 TSX with H4831SC

46gr @ 2573fps
47gr @ 2593fps
48gr @ 2638fps
49gr @ 2683fps
50gr @ 2759fps

Barnes 130 TSX with H4350

44gr @ 2659fps
45gr @ 2691fps
46gr @ 2763fps
46.5gr @ 2778fps
47gr @ 2825fps
47.5gr @ 2894fps
48gr @ 2923fps (stiff bolt)

Beside the stiff bolt on the last one, you can't tell between the starting load and the "max" one on any of those combinations. The primers are all a little flat but they are also flat with the factory loads at 2536fps. I'll have to look over those numbers and compare them to the data I have.

On a side note, I also shot some Wal-Mart Winchester white box 22-250 45gr and they actually clocked 4000fps as advertised out of my Savage with a 22" barrel.

Hornady 140 SST with RL22 49gr @ 2778fps

I wouldnt push it much more than this in a sporter 6.5x55

Barnes 130 TSX with H4350 47gr @ 2825fps
and I would stop here

If it was my rifle...:)
otherwise your loads seem good to go and normal
