time for more load develoopment. While a Swedish Mauser I used to own would shoot well with 46.5 of RL-22 with any 140gr. bullet. I had to turn up the heat with my Tikka. Your groups will likely close up as you increase the charges (carefully)I ended up settling for 48gr - RL-22. (WW brass and WLR primers)

That Voere should not have any issues digesting heavier loads just keep an eye on the brass as you work up.
 
I'll try and spice it up a bit Thanx for the info, I hope it works do you suggest 1/2 grain increments? I thought this gun would be a real shooter, very dissapointed so far.

My Win FWT will not shoot 160gr Hornady's well at all but will put 156gr Sako RN into 1/2" or less groups.............different gun different tastes...............Harold............160's show signs of yaw/tipping with oval holes on the paper

An accurate rifle tends to shoot any reasonable load accurately. It sounds as though you've established that you have a 2MOA rifle and MOA groups might just beyond its capability. If its a big game rifle, that's of little consequence as 2 MOA will keep all of your bullet strikes within 3" of your aiming point at 300 yards and perhaps you should be tweaking your loads to do that. If you're a competent marksman, 2 MOA will keep the freezer full of meat, and produces the accuracy necessary to make casual plinking at unknown ranges interesting and demanding. If you're not a competent marksman, a quarter minute rifle won't help, but even a competent marksman is challenged to shoot up to a 2 MOA rifle in the field. The famed Viet-Nam era sniper, Carlos Hathcock's M-70 .30/06 was a 2 MOA rifle, the magic though was the man behind the trigger and the fact that his M-70 was a 2 MOA rifle at 700 yards.
 
Yea but It always leaves a doubt when things are not 100% I always like things to be great at the range field shooting a different story for sure I just think the gun should do better

You may have found the problem.

Out of round holes mean bullet yaw, A lack of sufficient stabilization.

My 6.5/55's, mostly Swedes, have all shot their best with warmer loads. The groups tighten as you up the powder charge.

Your 46.5/R22/140 seems quite soft to me. My most accurate sported Swede milsurp shoots 48/R22/Amax/Lapua/Br2/3.190"oal, and has done so uneventfully for many years.

Your Voere is a strong modern rifle, and should shoot well with loads at the 48 grain level. Work up with care and prudence, fine tune the seating depth, and you should be there.

Sould it be a problem with the rifle/scope, or your shooting technique, then no amount of load testing will help.

These rifles shoot well. Make sure you check action screws, scope rings bases etc. Try 47 grains of H4381sc Win brass and a WLR primer. Remember that this rifle has quite a long throat so play with bullet seating depth. Good luck.
 
Varget 35.8 Grains, 140 Sierra MK or Game King, my go to load, works well with the 139 lapua as well, The 120 Nosler BT bullets are awesome in the Swede as well.

Thanx for all the help I juiced it my load to 48gr RL 22 what a difference! 2 3 shot groups under 1/2 inch with slightly different seating depths very impressive for my talents

Take a look at the rifle. Check all screws for tensions. You need to have same torque reading on each screw.
I will clean the rifle again and again, till the barrel is clean. That would be my start point. Also, will check how the scope is mounted on the rifle and if all screws are tight.

Most of my 6.5's need a good, copper cutting, bore scrub every 30 rounds or so to maintain that level of precision.

As for that rifle of yours, .... it sure ain't broken.

Viva 6.5x55, .... my lifelong 'ace in the hole' favorite round.

Ok, I just want to check here. You have checked that all screws that should be tight are?
