Any sources for surplus in this caliber ? I see that districorp is out and ive sent them an email - Marstar sells winchester new prod.

- Anything else that I could get brought in ?

thanks

That Winchester stuff from Marstar is about as cheap as new 6.5x55 is going to get aside from the Igman stuff from Districorp. I gave up looking for a good source of factory 6.5x55 a while ago and just started reloading it. Haven't looked back since.

By the way, the Igman 6.5 Swede ammo may give you some trouble if you plan on reloading it because the primer flash hole is too small for most decapping pins so you'll have to drill or ream it out before you can decap it or risk losing your decapping pin. I ended up buying new 6.5x55 brass from P&D because hardly anyone else had it in stock.

That igman stuff is gross. Any savings I made from buying cheap I lost in patches and solvent and the stuff is horribly sooty and dirty :)

It didn't shoot well out of either my AG42B or my m96/38 (especially the mauser). The only good point was that it was cheap, and when my AG42B flung the brass into the bushes I didn't mind since it's hard to reload anyways.

I don't think I've had any success with any calibre of Igman ammo as far as good accuracy goes. Now on the other hand, I've made some decent handloads with the brass. Right now, the brass is the only reason I'm buying any Igman 7.62x54R. I buy a box and blast through it as fast as I can.
