6.5x55

first use good euro brass as US brass are undersized !!

here is my hunting/long range target load with my Tikka T3 lite

129g Accubond longrange with R-22 or IMR 7828scc

no deer harvested with this load yet ( was previously using regular accubond with similar load ) but I got good result on my steel target up to 550y so far . will be hunting deer with this one this season coming !!!

have fun !!

Somewhere on the internet lately I read that the swede was hugely overrated, and should be in the 30-30 class.. Just confirmation that they will let anyone write here..

And what the heck is wrong with being in the same class as the 30-30? This actually seems like a compliment to me.

I love all of my swedes and have found 45.5g of IMR4350 to be perfect with 120 grains. The last couple years I've been shooting 130g Accubonds and a healthy dose of Reloader 22 or 19 always works well. I have taken deer, bear, and elk with mine. All died swiftly. I'm a tad recoil sensitive and I just feel more confident with a swede in my hands. I'm sure that plays a role in why so many are successful with it.

nothing wrong about being in the class of the 30-30 !!!!!

but the swede is more likely in the 270 Win class !!!!!! euro ammo or reload in a modern rifle of course !
