45 grains of IMR 4350 with 140 grain Hornady SST. I wish I could find 160 grain projectiles for it.

IMR 4350 in the mausers for either the 140-160gr bullets..........shot truckloads of moose with them. Norma #204 is what they used in Norma ammo for factory loads for years....RE#22 in modern guns 129-140gr bullets........Harold

45 grains of H4831 behind a 140 grain spitzer worked fine in my M38.

You work up your own load? I haven't seen any data for BL-C(2).

BLC2, 4895 and Varget are similar in speed and can be loaded. But are too fast to be "good"powders. As I said, 4350 is about as fast a powder that is reasonable.

I use 4895 with the 129gr but playing with BLC(2) and Sierra 107 gr leads.
