I have a Robinson Arms XCR-L in 223 and have been considering buying a 6.8spc conversion kit for it so I can also deer hunt this fall with this rifle.

I have been calling/emailing everywhere and have found Barnes 85gr/110gr TSX and Sierra 90gr Varminter & 110gr Prohunter bullets but can't find Nosler 100gr/110gr Accubonds.

I have found Rem LR primer brass but I can't find any Hornady small rifle primer brass and dies no one has them that I can find.

Has anyone seen any of these components anywhere?

Thanks for any info... :)

Stittsville shooting range in Carp ON did have some 110 Nolsers. I ended up using them for fireforming bullets in my 6.8 SPC AI.

BTW: I have 1 3/4 boxes (85)-110gr TSX's I would sell reasonable. And a set of Lee Dies too

Camp Cook, just wondering if you figure the difference in short barrel between 6.8 and 762x39 ballistics will be worth the hassle? I went with 762x39 cause everything is so easy to get. 1120 rounds for 160$, already have a bullet puller, get some Hornady V-maxes and I have hunting ammo. I think that anything you can kill with 6.8 I can kill with 762, Barnes even makes a TSX bullet in 310. The only drawback I have found with 7.62X39 and surplus crates of ammo, its like having a bowl of popcorn, just try to only eat one kernel:D

I've been reading everything I can lately on the ballistics of the 6.8 and even earlier tonight looked up 7.62X39 ballistics and I have to say you make a very good point.

The more I think about the 6.8 ballistics the more I am starting to think that I am going to hold off on getting into a 6.8 conversion kit at least for a while now.

Thanks for sharing your thought I appreciate them very much.
