6.8mm ARs

I found an article on this newer AR rd. Interested in adding one to the pile. I see stag makes them. Do we have any comming up north? It sort of looks like an 7.62 x 39 rd.

Look for the ammo before you even think about a rifle. Don't think the 6.8 SPC(a modified .30 Remington) has quite made it this far yet. Not that I'd put any money on it. Mind you, there are other posts about the same thing.

Yep, they are here because I have one.

The brass is hard to get but once you have it all is good.

I have only shot it once, not enough time.

More recoil and a noticeable increase in muzzle blast too.

Fun to shoot I must say.

Talk to Walter at Arms East if you want one, or just the upper, which is the route I took. Quester has the mags too.

Well I had the first stag 6.8 in canada. As previouly said the brass is a ##### to get but once you got that your good to go. Bullets are standart 270 ammo with is easy to get. You get a bit more recoil and nuzzle blast but not mutch more. The 6.8 spc's selling point is it's hitting power under 500 yards. But honestly to punch paper you don't realy need it. I see it as a novelty item but them again so are most of our toys anyway. Personnaly I sold my 6.8 and got myself a 7.62X39R, just as fun and less expensive to shoot.
