6.8SPC AR15 Build Completed: Photos

I also decided to simply replace my broken Gen 1 Magpul front sight with a Gen 2 model as shown. I will upgrade this to an all metal BUIS some day.

what made you want to go with the 6.8 instead of 5.56?

I chose 6.8SPC because of this FAQ list and because I believe it to be qualitatively better, more accurate than a 7.62x39 for not too much more money and ergonimcally better handling than a "Eastern Bloc" rifle (for me) AND AR parts generally speaking are more readily available and I can modify it to the end of time with new uppers...(my original upper is a .223) so I can use that for play and the 6.8 for harder hitting fun while still having a very light rifle at 7.3lbs..

Here is the site that has it all when it comes to the 6.8 SPC rifles/cartridge... :D

My OD Green XCR-L in 6.8 SPC is my go to deer hunting rifle combo right now I load 95gr Barnes TTSX with 30grs H322, Rem LR primer brass, Win LR primers, crimped with a Lee Factory crimp die and OAL = longest length that I can load them and still have them fit my C-Products 5 round mags = 2825fps

and FYI I just placed a backorder with Wolverine for four 10 round 6.8 SPC pistol mags...

These are Bladetech AR15 Mag. Pouches with Tek-Lok. Of course, they fit 6.8SPC mags. just fine. Nice and tight and very good quality. Brownell's item no. 098-000-038. There are a lot to choose from, but these are excellent.

very good choice i'd say...great looking rifle

I just so happen to have a business account with Brownell's hardly ever use it though I'll have to give them a call tomorrow.

Another photo. Updated the original list to include the price of 5 "barely used" PRI 6.8SPC magazines ($200). I ended up writing the manufacturer for new springs, followers and floorplates and they sent those over free of charge!
