Every single incident involving a firearm is completely preventable. Muzzle control is no1. If your muzzle is in a safe direction, your safety can fail, your trigger can get caught on a button on your jacket, and everything will be just fine.
I am lucky enough to share a patch of crown with a group of guys that are upstanding hunters. We always touch base on the first day, I tell them where my stand is, the tell me where they are sitting and pushing from, and we keep in radio contact. Great group of guys, the only reason I don't hunt with them is because I don't enjoy pushing.
