I ordered this on Dec 23 2011
I finally picked it up yesterday

S&W 460 xvr 8 3/8 barrel
This thing is a monster

There was no factory ammo in the store so I loaded up 300 gr Hornady with 34gr 2400 powder. Not a MAX load but getting close.
I did do a short video which will get posted a bit later.
If you think a .44 mag has a muzzle blast....stand withing 10ft of the 460 and you will see the difference. Awesome to shoot and to feel the thunderous power.

Anyone in the Bonnyville / Cold Lake area want to try this monster, just ask.

Very nice looking gun and those cartridges look like torpedo's compared to the .45 Colt.
The biggest gun that I have is a reproduction 1847 Walker .44 cal. black powder revolver which has a 9 inch barrel and weighs 4 1/2 pounds...lots of fun to shoot but nowhere near the raw power of the .460.
