6 Months and waiting

I sent my app away at the end of January at the same itme as my girlfriend. She got her license in 10 weeks. I'm still waiting. I had a hick up with one of my refences two months ago so they sent back the paper work and i gave htem a new one and mialed it away. Is this normal to take this long after a small paper work problem? I also told them that I'm laid off every year due to seasonal work. Would they hold back my app for that reason?
 
I got a call today ,telling me the hold up was a lack of communication with my refs.I must now tell my refs. to call THEM and get the 3rd degree.I found it strange the girl asked me the same YES-NO questions ,as I was asked on my RPAL.
Oh well ,no big rush.

CALL THEM.

Call them to do the reference check, thats what I did. I called and asked to do the interview, and got my 2 references to do the same. I got it 32 days after they received it I believe.

Could not get a hold of my refs ,now THEY have to call CFC .Wonder how hard they try to contact references.
Oh well ,now I wait longer ,as one of my people is on holidays for two weeks !

ive already done my interview as has one of my refrences...then my other refrence goofed somehow so i needed a new one
 
i had one of my references call them back back when i applied for my pal
they had tried contacting her twice and then they had given up
 
They must read these forums because I now have my RPAL. Now to instill a 4 guns per year/or $4000 in guns a year rule.
 
And you managed to get it before we could tease you about your girlfriend having her license when you didn't!

"Honey... baby... could I at least LOOK at your new 9mm...?"
"No, I don't think that you're allowed, not without a license."
 
My PAL took several months too, due to a little run in with the law I had many years prior. Best thing is to call them and be polite.
