6 scumbags charged in Sask

Good job! However, the men charged should also loose the privilege of hunting forever. Was it because they are native that they are, "prohibited from hunting anywhere but on their own First Nation — and only for their own food"? If that were a white guy it would be a totally different outcome. So sad.

Lots of driving without licenses.... usually a good indicator you're dealing with losers. Agreed, should be at minimum a 5-10 year ban on hunting outright.

it would. Don't Natives (First Nations People) by treaty have a right to hunt for sustenance?

Here is what one of the douchebags had to say....

$55,000 seems a little light for all 6. I bet they made a lot more than that in a year illegaly guiding.

Are natives allowed to hunt on private land out of season? Can they hunt crown land and pfra pastures out of season? I've never understood native hunting rights as we don't have any reserves and very few natives in my area.

On private land with permission only whether it is posted or not.

Crown land, yes.

Not sure about PFRA.

If PFRA is a community pasture I would imagine. Ours can be hunted by anyone, the operators despise it and keep the gates locked and hate SERM for telling them tough titties, let people hunt.

Doesnt mater what color the skin or heritage back ground is ''Loosers and gonna be Loosers''.

yep..they will never pay it anyway...they will sit on the reserve and nothing will be done. Come again next year same thing will happen. This Meechance family is scum of the earth...as most know one of their own was shot by a Sask farmer who had enough of their criminal activity on his private property.

Any land for sale around there?

For profit involved and with the extra nerve of performing this crime off rez land. All gloves are off IMO.
They went well beyond their limits and lost out, because the hunting gods rightfully frowned upon this little escapade.

Karma is a b@tch fellas!

Good for SERM!!!

There are a lot of first nations folk who abide by the law and keep to their own. That said, it's highly politically incorrect, especially here in Ontario, to openly shed light on the illegal fishing, hunting, cigarette smuggling, and arms dealing done by first nations. In the illegal native occupation of the Caledonia lands by the militant aboriginals, the police and the government caved. It was so bad that a neighbour who flew his Canadian flag in response to the first nations banner was ARRESTED BY THE OPP!!!!! Just recently, a judge (in a rare showing of judicial common sense) blasted the OPP for laying the charge in the first place. Sad; just too freakin' sad! Oh, what have the Liberals done to my country?

Well at least here you can comment on the story. CBC has banned any and all comments concerning stories about aboriginals...I wonder why?
