6 x 47 Rem

If you could scrounge up some 6x47 Lapua brass that would be really nice! They’re very efficient and accurate as a rule.
6X47Rem is a 222 Remington Magnum necked up to 6mm. Same case as the .204 Ruger. It was king of the hill before the 6PPC. It is not the same as the 6-6.4X47 Lapua or the 6 X 47 Swiss Match. The latter being the only rival to the 6BR for inherent precision.

i have oppertunity to buy a KRICO (german?) rifle, nice timber and blued - Set Trigger.

has the dies and Brass. bout 10 boxes of once fired 222 rem mag..
(can i resize 204 ruger)

$500 all in. might even be scoped.

But heres my Question.

im playing with the B I Ls 22.250.... i like it per say.
im due for a rebarrel on my Sako A1 222........................ which il proberly make a .223. may even AI that.

havnt got anything between say .222 and the 7mm08 bar the 7.62x39.....

I think this 6 x 47 might be up my alley for a "Roo" gun at some decent Range.... plinker as well.....

thoughts!?!

I have two 6x47 Rem rifles. One is a 40x, the other an accurized 700. Both are more accurate than I can shoot. Standard twist for these was slow (1-14 I think), but the one I built on the 700 has a 1-10 twist. I think it's a great cartridge, have used for targets (makes a great 300 yard/meter BR cartridge) and I've used it on coyotes at ranges I'm ashamed to write. - dan

Here's a little Log Book from 2010.

The guy has Died of C.... An it's either been left to my Mate or my mate received it off his BIL

I don't think it's been shot much, was a project sort of rifle I believe.

I think I am keen for it

So rifle has a 1:10 twist.. from my research that's what I need for heavier like 80-100gr even , spbt hunting projies.

I'm looking forward to the double trigger ,liking the dark blueing and wood stock combo.

Done a bit of research on it an think it fits perfectly for what I'm looking for!

Can see lighter projies for plinking around .50c an good 100g for .60-70c ea.

Sounds like an efficient round for powder use with 2206H !

Assuming it uses Small rifle Primers - still reasonably priced here per say.. 🙄

Yes, the 6x47 brass (federal used to make it) and the 222 Rem Mag (parent case) both use small primers. You can also make it from 204 Ruger, which is also based on the 222 Rem !ag, and also uses small primers. As I said, it's a great cartridge, enjoy. - dan
