I’m looking for opinions on a new scope for a cz 452 varmint. This rifle will be used for bench rest shooting out to about 125 yards but most be able to also handle silhouette at 20 yards.
One option I’d really like is a side adjustable parallax but I’m only able to find it right now on scopes starting at about 1k.
So the scope must have a minimum variability of 6 at maximum. I’d like a 4x for shooting offhand and I’m willing to sacrifice a little top end magnification for that. My shooting is done almost exclusively in the middle of the day so a huge objective isn’t necessary. In fact I’ve been looking at 40mm because it will mount with the rings and bases I’m going to be using.
So I’m open to opinions but right now I’m looking at
1. Leupold VXII 6-18 X 40mm target (I put another thread up to find out how close the parallax adjustment is)
2. Bushnell 4200 elite in either 4-16 or 6-24
3. Nikon buckmaster 4.5-14 or 6-18
