I think my camera was on macro, focusing on the lens and thus the image at 750 appears quite blurry. The Mark2 Hunter is a nice clear scope, good multi purpose hunting/target scope for $700, I like it

No kidding, it's expensive as hell, but somehow, be it because of it's weight, length, shape, etc., it seems to jive real well with my rifle (better than the Hornady), so I buy it when I can. My friend and I are still putting together our reloading kit, but lots of back orders, so it'll be factory match for a while. I've heard that after just a year of shooting that it's too early to reload, but the cost of factory match is too much to shoot as often as I'd like to (once a week or so).
I was familiar with the concepts of the adjustments, but the refresher was most appreciated and confirms what I understood beforehand. I always like to keep the actual sizes of the adjustments in the back of my mind though, since they're involved with distance estimation, another skill I want to acquire.
Yup, you got that all right... I'd have to drive over 3 hours to Valcartier or 2.5 to Connaught... Kinda a long just for a couple of hours of shooting. Quebec sucks balls for long range shooting if you just want to join a public range to learn the ropes before getting competitive, so I'm stuck hoping the one at Mansonville will exist at some point. It is also my understanding that you have to join the DCRA, PQRA and what not - why can't starting off be much simpler??

Well, from looking at those two flags, if I was firing my first sighter, and this is at 500m or 600m, I'd use 1.5-2.0 MOA right, and see what that gave me (I wonder if anyone who is familiar with Volkes, or was there that day, could comment on what was actually needed...?)

I took notes at the different distances for future reference and this 500 , we were told to adjust for 1 minuet of wind , the picture on the other page showing three flags is at 600 in that case we looked at the first two flags and adjusted for 2 min according to my notes

Rifle
Talked to Tom today , the rifle has a Paramount Action , Kreiger 30 inch barrel with a 1 in 14 twist , he has won many competitions with that rifle. that day he only shot a few times and was not keeping count cause he had a guest with him that he was coaching on the introductry day .
