I have found a nice 50gr load (.25 moa or better) for my 1:12 223 and was wanting to try and work up a 60 or 62 gr load to see if they will fly. I know a 12 twist barrel is on the edge for that size of bullet but one never knows until you give it a go. I am wanting to do a little bit of 500 yrd plus shooting and the drift onthe 50 gr bullet is pretty bad.
Please, don't advise me to buy a 9 twist or better barrel. I love this old gun and a 9 twist is something down the road for me, or should I say, something that my other half needs to warm up to
Anyhow, anyone have any suggestions on a 60-62 gr bullet that is easy to get your hands on (and not too pricey)? I am in ONtario but not afraid to shop online.
