Fellow CGNer's :),

I'm looking for some loading ideas for the 62 gr SS109 bullet. It'll be fired through a 1 in 9 twist barrel and I'd prefer to use Winchester 748 but give me what you have if it's accurate :D I look forward to your response!

Thanks, glocker

I used Federal Small Rifle primers and H-335.

Just curious as to where you found the bullets. I used to be able to get new ATK produced bullets in bulk, but that dried up with the war demands. Now I see pulled bullets selling for far above what I used to charge for new.

With H-335, you'll fill the case up to the throat at around 26 gr. I believe the book starts at 21 gr, but as the books will be using the shorter commercial 62gr bullet, I'm afraid to quote a specific load and suggest it's safe.

I used my chrony and worked up to my target velocity. I believe I wound up around 23.5 gr but suggest you start low and work up.

25 grains of ww748, same deal/but i've got a 1/7 twist- start off about 23 i should think- and cci small MAGNUM primers- b/c it's ball powder
