looking at a smith 625 in acp. just curious how accurate these can be? would love a 44 special but these seem hard to come by used.

since im posting, how about the old 45 colts, accurate?

Depends. Some older S&Ws have oversize throats in 45, both in the ACP/AR versions and the 45 Colt versions. Newer ones are usually a lot better in this regard. If you handload and cast, this isn't that big of a deal, you can make the bullets you need. Also, early versions used pretty shallow rifling, which works ok with jacketed bullets, but will allow lead bullets to skip if undersized. Not condusive to good accuracy. FWIW - dan

I used to have an ugly S&W M1917 that was a Brazilian military revolver, it shot the best of any 45acp revolver that I have owned/fired. With this said, the economy is the States and my house is so bad that I am down to one 45acp revolver. Yes, it is one of 500 and I doubt I will ever sell it. Regards, Richard:)

Thank you for making me jealous  I want one!!!

C Diddy, but have to tell you, none available in Canada. None that I know of, and I had look a lot. They were manufactured in 1994 , as a limited series for Lew Horton. 500 total. serial # SAC0000- SAC0500. I think they sell so fast that none ever reach this Country.

Or maybe someone from Canada and who is a CGN can prove me wrong ????

Good Day

Yves
