Hi everyone, I have a lead on a 64R biathlon but the seller is asking $2,000. This seems a bit steep but I could be wrong. Any idea what a fair price would be?

Thanks

The 64R Biathlon trainer is a bit of a rare bird. They've been discountinued for a few years now and Anschutz no longer has stocks in inventory to convert 64 actioned repeater's. Despite the above $2000 is high. I bought both my 1827's for less.

Wow. That rifle when sold new a few years ago was @$1450 + sights with the adjustable cheek rest stock. The non adjustable version was less. Nice little rifle though. Originally designed for and supplied to the Swedish Military.

Does it belong to a young woman in Alberta? Just 2 mags and no harness? If so, way too much.

Try to find a used but complete kit Izmash biathlon rifle. It should come in under $2000 and are way better than any Anschutz 64 based biathlon rifle.

1903 is a totally different rifle.... different stock, single load vs. magazine fed, different barrel, different trigger (Model 5098)
Basically only the receiver/bolt is the same.

Key features of the 64R Biathlon: (taken from the 2006 Catalog)

ANSCHÜTZ special biathlon barrel, cold-tested

Match trigger:
5103 adjusted to 1500 g & 5104 adjusted to 550 g.

Stock:
The anatomically perfect stock is lacquered and includes an aluminum grooved rail for
hand stop & aluminum grooved rail for harness. The butt plate 4709A is adjustable vertically and in length by 8 mm spacers 4709 P.
The aluminum butt plate 4759 or 4758 can be fitted.
Stock is cut out for the Magazine holder 1927-U23 for 4 magazines(fits models 64 R Biathlon and 1827 ANSCHÜTZ Fortner)

Delivered with:
One 5 shot magazine, screw driver and manual with test target.

The closest rifle today that Anschutz makes is the 64 MP R, although a totally different stock from the 64R Biathlon.

Your not looking for this model to actually use in Biathlon?

I had a 64 Biathlon (it was a 1403) for years but sold it.
Great little gun I still have the shipping box around here and some pieces for them.
Its the only gun I regret selling but you can't keep them all.
The price of $2000 seems a bit steep.
