Got it today, put 200 rounds of .357 through it, and 50 rounds of 38 special.
What can I say, it shoots -really- well out of the box, it gets -really- dirty, and it's a bit of a ##### to clean up. The tolerances are unbelievably perfect (you can see where they hand ground some of the metal for a perfect fit). The finish is a bit meh, there's a lot of scratches all over it. I took the cylinder out (because I know I can replace it) and put it through a buffing wheel with some fine finish compound and it came out like a mirror. I'm a bit hesitant to tr the rest of the finish on a buffing wheel, but I can guarantee I will have almost a chrome mirror look to this firearm eventually. The grip is a really good size, but the rubber is just so-so. I think I'll get wood grips. Pics when I pull them off my phone, but that was one hell of a fun day of shooting.
They even include the casing from the first round ever fired in the gun. That's a nice touch.
All in all, one HELL of a fun gun, exceptionally good shooter, very very happy. I may very well be bruied with this firearm, I don't think I could leave it to my kids.
(I bought a russian sks while I was there because I'm a weak weak man.)
Revolvers are lots of fun. Enjoy the 686. Great wheel gun with a fantastic trigger. Be advised though... wheel guns are another addictive part of our sport lol! I started with one thinking it would be my one and only revolver..... yeah right!
I ended up swapping out the grips for something a little more conventional. The rubber grips are okay, but they really just feel like an airsoft replica or a toy, and I couldn't get over that.
