Difference in between the two shotguns from Beretta?

Trap looks like fixed choke but otherwise the same?

+1. The 686E Trap has a stock that is more or less parallel with the barrel, whereas the sporting stock is just that...a shotgun with a stock that is very similar to a field gun, but with slight mods that make it more suited to sport shooting.

The higher comb and rib means the pattern will be 60 percent above the bead as pointed, the lower comb and lower rib on the field or sporting model will mean the pattern will be centred on the bead as pointed. When shooting trap the clay bird is rising when you should be shooting and having a pattern that is rising means the shot will arrive at the rising clay. For gme shooting a 50/50 pattern is prefered.
