The day bill alexander of alexander arms put out the 50 beowulf people on some forums in the usa have asked why not make a longer case for the AR10, looks like beck is the first ones to get it to market. I even looked at it myself and took measurements of my ar10, the problem being the magazine. Double stack 308 is wider in the magazine than single stack 50 cal (.525 outside of case) and the inside dimensions of the ar10 mag is .720. That's why beck had to make a new mag that uses the same concept of the 22lr ar15 mag, same outside dimensions of the ar15 but smaller inside dimensions to accommodate a smaller round. My idea is to just go to a larger case necked down to a .500 s&w projectile and still utilize the stock ar10 mag. I have the blueprint all done and am looking in to how to patent something. I love that beck did this, it shows an interest for a 50 cal ar10 and i know i have a better design than beck lol
I wonder how a Heavy Truck Engine would fair against a few of those projectiles?
