IIRC SAIL Baron had some of their M70 featherweights on sale for ~$680 no tax, and LeBaron's has the sporters and featherweights in standard chamberings for $758 no tax

local store had m70 Sporter in 270 Win for $599 this past fall

clunky stock on it, wasn't a fan. Fwt much nicer
