I am looking into building a 6mm BR and need to know who would be a good gun smith in south west Manitoba area to take it to for the build. I have all the parts in mind I want to use but need someone to do the work.
 
how about lyle linkaitis (sp?) in selkirk? ultimate accuracy I think his operation is called.. never dealt with him myself but have heard nothing but good things

If not the factory Savage and you want to build it, consider at least 30" of barrel and a 1-8" twist rate.

I am at the starting point of my first custom rifle. It is a 6MM BR Norma, I have all the parts at Hi Pro Precision in Brandon, MB. I seen his work at the Brandon Gun and Collectable show and it looks good but again this is my first custom build so I dont know the fine details to look for. Anyone else shooting one of Jerrys guns.
 
I know lots of guys shooting Jerry's guns. They are all awesome. He is building my 243. He doesn't do a lot of advertising as it is not his main occupation, but he is good at it and knows what he is doing and his guns win competitions all the time.
 
I talked to Lyle last week, he was very helpful and very easy to talk. Look at the thread, 338 custom build complete,in this forum. For a look at his work and I think his ph.# is in the thread also
