I've not owned a browning X Bolt (not X Bolt 2) so looking for thoughts on the rifle.
6 CM, 22 in barrel + brake, 1-71/2 twist, burnt bronze, fluted barrel and bolt, 6.1 lbs, carbon fiber stock.
Is it worth owning? any known issues? are they generally accurate? your thoughts?

Huge Disclaimer - I am a sample size of exactly one but I just returned an X-Bolt 2 Mountain Pro regular steel barrel to a dealer (had an in store warranty that covered this) I could not get the gun to group well on the order of 2-3 inches at 100yards across a variety of ammo, yes there are a pile of variables that could contribute to that including most importantly the idiot behind the trigger.

I reached out to the dealer and told them what was going on and the first response was just pack it up and send it back to us and exchange for something else which I did and it was a seamless experience, really glad I forked out for the extended warranty on it. In speaking to someone at the shop during the return process they advised I wasn't the first to encounter this issue with this particular model of the X-Bolt 2 and they had a few others who had returned them.

Like I said small sample size and lots of variables at play when it comes to accuracy issues, the extended warranty is what got me out of it easily, literally no questions asked or pushback of any sort. I reached out looking for advice on what else I could try and was just offered the path of exchanging for something else.

I hope you have zero issues and suspect what I ran into might be a small edge case as the X-Bolts are generally well regarded when it comes to accuracy and performance for a hunting rifle.

If it is for hunting use, and just one caliber, 3006, is the one can cover from white tail deer to moose.

Now can you tell us the store? Lol
You couldn't find it because Canadian Tire doesn't list their firearms online and I don't think they ship either. So its like you have to be in the store at the right time when they decide to clear something out. I have mixed thoughts about buying rifles from CT but when they decide to clear it I don't think the price reflects what their cost was and only that its dormant/dead stock that needs to be moved.

Man it's ok. I got my Marlin 336 in 3030 grey laminate big loop from a CT it was HUNDREDS cheaper at the time and now I'm so glad I got it there.

I paid $799
