Im new to reloading and looking for some load data using imr4350 for this bullet in my Brno zkk in 243win. I made up some loads (my first reloads) with some old Hornady 75 gr hp, using my 3rd edition Hornady manual. I worked up to 47.5grs of imr 4831 powder and it was amazingly accurate so I stopped there. However I'm almost out of this powder and it's not available locally. I ended up buying some imr4350, but can't seem to find info for this particular 100gr remington bullet. My question is can I use data for any 100gr flat base bullet or does it specifically have to be for that exact bullet? Also if anyone has a recipe for imr 4350 and the Hornady 75gr hp that would be great too, as I have almost a full box left. Thanks.

From Ken Waters "Pet Loads". Hornady 75gr/45gr-IMR4350/3240fps/Win brass/win LRP............OAL-2.67" [very accurate]
100gr/43gr-IMR 4350/2977fps/FR brass/win LRP..........[very accurate] not sure what brass you are using so drop a couple grains and work your way up from there...any 100gr data should also be fine reduced as mentioned and work up...primers shouldn't be too much of an issue.I make a dummy rd ,no powder/primer,seat the bullet long colored with a black sharpie.Chamber it and check for rifling marks on the bullet.If present seat a little deeper re-color and repeat until there is no contact.Make sure the bullet is not too long to fit the magazine[ I like a little gap between the front of the mag well and the bullet nose to ensure proper feeding]

Thanks! I got my length figured out the other night with this bullet using the method you mentioned. According to the load data in my hornady manual, the minimum for100gr bullet starts at 39 grs of imr 4350, so I will start there and work up.
In regards to the 75gr hp, my hornady manual does not list imr4350 for a 75gr bullet. I have enough of them loaded up right now with 47.1grs of imr4831. It seems to work well, but once they're gone I will hopefully be able to switch over to the imr4350 and get close or possibly even better performance. Thanks again.

581, do you know the twist rate of your barrel???
Some 243 barrels won't stabilize 100 grain bullets. Most will, especially if your rifle is recent production.
I have a Remington Mod 7, chambered in 243Win that just loves flat base 100 grain, Speer GS SP, which is very close to the bullets you wish to load. It wears a 24 inch take off barrel of standard hunting contour
It's favorite load is 40.5 grns IMR4350, over CCI 250 primers, under 100gr Speer GS SP.
My magnetospeed tells me it's velocity is around 2850 fps.
The bullets you have, are spire point core loct, and are no longer made. They weren't bad bullets but a bit fragile at ranges between 50-100 yards. I switched to the Speer Grand Slam because it held up better at close range.
I don't believe you shoot a lot, or you wouldn't be bothered with a part box of discontinued bullets.
The above load shoots well in several different rifles, with a bit of tweaking to charge weight and OAL.
My go to 75 grain load is 45 grains of IMR 4350, over CCI 250 primers under 75 grain hollow point, boat tails or flat base. Doesn't seem to matter which.
My load is under maximum for most manuals but it works very well in my rifle. I have taken Coyotes out to 400 yards with this load. The bullets definitely aren't constructed heavy enough for game such as Deer. Way to frangible.

I believe it's 1 in 10 twist, 24 inches. It likes the factory made corelokt just fine, so I'm hopefull it'll like them in handloads as well. I primarily shoot rimfire, but intend to use the 243 a little more now that I have this reloading equipment. The only reason I'm using up the old discontinued stuff is because it came free with the equipment and I'm cheap! I also got a box of old 30 cal nosler partitions in the deal, so I intend to work out a load for my 30/06.
