6mm Rem Varmint Loads

I'm playing around with some Sierra 55gr and Hornady 58gr bullets for gophers with my 6mm Rem. 41gr of H335 seems to work fairly well, but gives a monster muzzle flash. Anybody got a favorite load with these bullets?

Welcome to CGN tmh!

I was getting good groups with the 55gr Noslers but I believe it was a much slower powder like H414 I was using. 4000 fps and not even pushing it with 7/8" groups. I only hit one Coyote at a full run 320 yards (by fluke I suspect) and he piled up really hard! I can check the data tonight.

Varget & RL15 are the two go-to powders for the light bullets in my 243, I'd suspect they'd work just as well in the slightly larger 6mm. the new IMR 4007SSC should be a winner too

I've been looking for some Varget, but the stores in Calgary seem to have been out for quite a while.
