6mm super LR F class gun "range report pics"

shooter I just got back from the range with some good results not as spectacular as some of the groups I shot while fireforming but its holding in the 2's pretty consistantly.

I uped the load for more speed and am trying some H4831sc with 105 berger vld's I am around 3100 fps with no pressure signs yet and need to work on OAL .

I formed up some win and rem brass from 243 and some lapua from 308 that I had lots of on hand , up until now I had only fired the rem brass tonight I tried 5 lapua cases .
The lapuas didn't group well because I had a lot of runout but should be better now they are formed and straight.

As far as work hardening of the necks I dont see a problem I touched up the necks with my neck turning tool and loaded they measure almost .272 so a little over 3 thou of play should be good.

On the other hand the lapua brass had to be turned down to fit so I can put these as tight as I want.

Saturday I am going to try and make it to the range early with my loading gear and work up a good load on site I will also post some pics of the rifle and some groups.

range update

Just got back from the range and had some good results this was shot at 200m of the bench not much wind and very hot.

I haven't gotten the speed up to where I would like but the groups are looking good and it seems to be pretty consistent.

Today I tried win and lapua brass both group well but the lapua seams to show a bit less vertical.

I guess from the picture you can tell it is a stevens 200 sitting in a chote stock the barrel is a gaillard 28" HV and I need a good trigger.

Overal I am happy with this rig and it is showing to be an accurate round that is a dime on the targett ,sometime this week I will push it to 600m and see what the verdict is.

Have you had any chance to push it to 600 yet? Still anxious to see how this chambering performs in real world testing.
Coyote, I want to thank you for posting the results of your efforts.
My build has been put on hold due to planning a wedding in February. I am sitting here with a donor Remington 700 and a 6mm Krieger barrel that are screaming for attention.

Shooter I haven't had the chance to try it at 600m yet and I doubt I will make it out this weekend , the fair is in town and my kids won't let me go for sure lol.
I think it will shoot good out at 600 judging from what it does at 200 , my 6br doesn't group any better and I've shot some 2-2 1/2" groups at 600 I expect at least the same .

The bullets I was testing are the same I shoot out of my 6br at over 200 fps faster it will be interesting to see what comes of this.
So far it has shot well with all the loads I tried it seems to like anything not fussy at all.

It shot good with both 105's and 90's none of the groups have been over 3/8 with anything I tried, even when the load was being worked up the groups stayed the same.

The 6 super lr seems to have real potential from what I have seen so far it certainly can be tweaked to deliver impressive results imo.
