6mm to a 22 cal

I shoot a 22-243 middlestead, built on a Rem 788 with a 27" bbl. Shoots very well, brass is made in one pas by necking down 243 brass. Has a 1-14 twist, which I would not do again. It does push 52 gr bullets at 4000 fps though, works pretty good on coyotes for a fair distance. - dan
Just looking for any information on this type of calibre. Not to sure what it all involves. I had been talking with a gunsmith and he suggested this. If anyone has a set up, what do you like or dislike about it. Any pics of your targets, what do you find as the best loads, what speeds are you getting etc.....
If I was to go to a 22-243 whatever I would pick the bullet I want to shoot and go with the twist rate that is best for that bullet...
I would be interested in shooting 70 bullets for this cartridge...
I do have an older 26" barreled 22-250 1-14" twist rifle it is mostly a safe queen now that I have my new Sako 85 Grey Wolf in 22-250, I have been dreaming of rechambering it to 22-243/Middlestead and would load 55gr V-Max/BT/BK or a 60gr Sierra HP Varminter if I did this conversion.
Long range coyotes shooting would be my goal with this rifle...

Yes. When this barrel is done, I will put a new pipe with a 1-9 to 1-7 twist on. I think this caliber would do yeoman work at LR with that combination of twist and the availability of heavy 22 cal bullets. - dan
