I finally finished load development on the 6mmbr that I purchased off of the EE from Guntech. It's built on a 700 short action, that Guntech worked over, and installed a 26" Gaillard 1 in 8-1/2" twist barrel on. The barreled action was bedded into an ADL stock, and it has a single shot follower installed. So far my best five shot group at 100 yards measured .260" with the average in the mid .3"s. I mounted a 6-24x42 Sightron scope on Leupold mounts, to further keep the overall cost down. It's the kind of precision rifle that many people were shooting, when I began shooting over 40 years ago. The finish that he put on the barrel has attracted a fair bit of attention as well. I should add that I am shooting the 95gr Matchking ahead of Varget for a muzzle velocity of 2930fps, as my load was chosen for shooting out to 600 yards rather than finding the most accurate load at 100 yards or 200 yards. I am quite pleased with the rifle, especially considering the relatively low overall investment.
