6PPC Practice targets

Thanks for all the responses - it's all clear to me now. Not something I'd consider doing though ;). Call me "old school", but I like it when shooting also emphasizes a steady hand & nerves in addition to the doping and technical aspects required.

Best of luck to Bill and happy shooting all. :)

LOL... Call me "old school", but I like it when shooting also emphasizes a steady hand & nerves in addition to the doping and technical aspects required

Your comment shows just how little you "know" about Benchrest shooting... doping and technical aspects are a high requirement to be successful... it is not as easy as you think...:)

Guntech,

You clearly misunderstood my statement, although I do concede that I'm a newbie when it comes to BR (as I indicated a few posts ago).

Obviously doping & technical aspects are important here (as I mentioned in my last post), but my understanding of BR is that the rifle is resting on a fixed rear bag and a pedastal in the front. Adjustments to aimpoint are made via knobs on the pedestal, no? So pardon my ignorance, but wouldn't aiming the rifle with grip/posture only involve considerably more "steadiness of hand & nerves"?

Edit: Just want to add that I do not in any way mean to trivialize BR shooting, in case I'm coming off as doing so. Clarified my last sentence accordingly.
