Hello, I'm going to rechamber my 6br to 6x47, (would like to resolve the occasional feed issue from the short brass of the 6br). Are most guys using 6.5x47 lapua brass necked down?

To answer the question. YES lapua brass is great. Setting the feeding issue aside for a moment, going to the 6x47L is not going to improve accuracy. I had one and found the only powder that shot extremely well was VV N560. with the 105 berger.
I had it rechambered to 243 Ack this case shot well with several powders including the 4350s. The 6BR is a great case and works out to 1000mtrs on days when conditions are good (not much wind). THEN THERE IS THE DASHER, the case for BR shooters.
Enjoy

I've purchased Hornady dies.

However I didn't realize at the time I needed a bushing for the neck. I have a couple of Redding bushings for my 6BR, .266 and .268. But when I resize the 6.5x47 Lapua brass it does not resize the entire neck, leaves a 1/16th of an inch or so at the neck shoulder junction that is still 6.5mm. Is the Hornady bushing much different? I would imaging not, there is not much chamfer on the bushing so ......

I'll try necking with my 6BR dies I guess but just asking.
