Not long ago, a member posted a Rem M7 in 7-08 c/w brake and recoil pad for sale as a light recoil unit for sale.
Can't find the post, and I would like to commmunicate with the seller.
Can you help.??

Thx.

Hornady - Custom Lite - 120 grain SST.

Makes my 243 feel like a magnum in comparison :)

I would not place a brake on a rifle meant for low recoil. (I would not put one on a rifle at all unless it was a dedicated target rifle, but that's another point.)

The increased muzzle blast will have a larger influence on flinch and shooting experience for the recoil sensitive than it removes in recoil. The solution for a recoil sensitive shooter is no brake, a good fitting stock with a quality recoil pad and reduced loads in a moderate cartridge.

The reduced recoil loads are available for the 7mm08 and it has been mentioned that Hornady and Remington produce the ammo for this awesome little caliber. These loads are good for deer but the regular loads are preferred for longer shots, more down-range hitting power and larger game like moose.

And the shorter the barrel, the more the muzzle blast and noise to the shooter. The Model 7 is one of the last rifles that I would ever consider adding a brake to.
