My 6.5 did the same thing with a standard carbine buffer, heavy buffer fixed it. Sounds like high carrier velocity. If I'm not mistaken your CSS stock uses a special one piece bolt/buffer so unless you can add weight to it somehow then a stiffer recoil spring or adjustable gas block may be your only options. I would go with the gas block given the choice.
Either that or just run some milder loads through it. What ammo are you using?
Just going through some Norc from a crate. I have heard it can vary from lot to lot on how strong it can be. I like the idea of the adjustable gas block. Anyone in Canada import these?
NEA has helped me out before with some questions I had and are great to deal with. I might see what they say about this. Ya bulk 556 is hard to find some days and this Norc stuff was available. I will make sure to spend a buck more and get AE next time.
Adjustable gas block is the simplest solution for this issue.
