7.5" AR Question

wondering if anybody can help me out. I recently just pieced together a 7.5" AR, it was just a cheap project for fun. I finished it up and called to have my registration switched from frame only to a complete gun. When I gave them my serial number and told them that it was a 7.5" barrel and a Norinco lower they said that they only show a 14.5" and 10.5" barrel for that gun. Now they want me to email pictures of the gun 1 of each side showing the whole gun and one of the serial number and all the markings and the overall length of the gun. I have done this process before and haven't had any issues registering any of my other AR's as complete guns. has anybody else had to go through this process before and did I just cause myself a huge headache.

First I've heard about wanting pics. I told them my rifle was a custom build with barrel length and caliber etc and that was it. No pics were required.
